Error on a new mission - solved

I think this is where this should go.  I have a user made ship in a user made mission that has an error that reads:

Assert: instance_depth<MAX_INSTANCE_DEPTH
File: 3dSetup.cpp
Line: 436

That freezes freespace.  I have run the debug in both FRED and Freespace 3.6.10 and there are no errors until the mission starts and then I get this error and it shutsdown freespace.

Editied to add:  It was a hierarchy problem
