when the ad for Descent3 comes up... while watching the ani, I got thinking..... thinking of someone importing FS craft to the d3 engine, although I have a few questions for people that have descent3:

is there a mission editor similiar to FRED?
would a campaign based on the engine, i.e. land battles work?

Dunno.......  certianly you could probably do some neat tweaks to the Fs ships with D3.


I know wEvil's working ob the descent4 thing, but I don;t know if thats on a heavily adapted D3 engine,or a freeware one.

currently we're using Crystal Space but we're always looking for other stuff.  Im not allowed to say anymore (Yes...they implanted me with a poison syringe...aaaargH! )

In terms of modding D3, the best place to learn about it is on the D4 board (i think).

Yes (D3Edit), and yes (with some scripting).
