Is it possible to set a minimum speed allowed for the player somehow? Preferably as a percentage of the ships max speed.

Nope. I'm playing around with 2D missions and trying to make a scrolling shooter effect.

Maybe Shadows of Lylat team know how to pull this off.

I don't remember an Arwing ever being able to come to a halt.

Nope; you break in the arwing, and I assume it applies a value to slow the ship down to a certain speed.

You mean brake right? Yeah I know that, I just haven't seen any Arwings stopping in the old SOL trailers.
