FreeSpace Assault Force Application Thread
FreeSpace Assault Force, or FS-AF, is a First person shooter based in the Freespace 1/2 time era, following the story of a GTA Marine. Currently, a lot of help is needed to get this up and going, and if you feel like helping, then here's the place to apply. What we currently need is posted below.
Here are the forums for FS-AF at Game-Warden, if you are interested. If you are interested and want to apply, then feel free to reply here, or sending me a PM here at HLP, or at Game-Warden.
Green = Position Open.
Yellow = Position Closed, but people are still needed.
Red = Position Closed.
Storyline Writer: Anyone who thinks they can help with the FS-AF storyline, is still welcomed. The idea's however need to be as Canon as possible, and fun for the player.
Level Designers: The game engine being used is still in debate, however, Level Designers will be needed once it is decided. If you know any of the following, then feel free to ask for the position: Source Engine (Half Life 2/Portal/L4D,) Crytech Engine (Crysis) or Unreal Engine 3 (SDK.)
Modelers: Anyone who thinks or wants to try their hand at modeling, just let me know. There is a ton of stuff still to do, much of it being essential. It's preferred if you have Blender, 3dsMax, Maya, or anything that can be saved/exported to .obj
Texturers: Obviously you can't have a spiffy model without a texture/s, nomatter how hard you try. There are several models already created, so anyone that can, and would like to try texturing them is welcome to. Full time applications are preferred.
Sound/Music Creator: If anyone is good at creating awesome sound affects, music, or both, then feel free to apply. Obviously this is
not a paid position, but if your good in FruityLoops, or any other sound/music creation program, and if you want to help, then feel free to let me know.
Model/Prop Converters: If anyone knows anything about converting models and props into one of the three potential engines, or if you know of places to find tutorials to do so (Source, Crytech or UE3) then feel free to apply.
Logo Designer: Everyone and anybody that feels that they're up to the job of creating a Logo for FS-AF is welcome to do so. It can be large, or small, although both would be ideal.
Concept Artist: The final position currently opened, is for concept artists. You don't have to be spectacular at drawing, but basic things like Weapons, Levels, Ships, Characters, etc. would all be highly appreciated, regardless of the quality of the image (within reason of course.)
