Hello HLP,
Is there a way to set things up so that when a specific ship is targeted, say, a cruiser, then a particular turret on the cruiser will be subsystem targeted by default?

You could probably do it by editing the POF to make that turret the first in the turret list.

Unfortunately I don't even think Goob's idea would work.  As far as I could ever tell the targeting while consistent is pretty random on what it picks based on distance and your fov.  For instance those dang anti-fighter missile launchers on the Moloch are almost impossible to target until you are dead on top of them and facing them.

You can temporarily make the rest of the turrets untargetable if the mission requires you to worry about a specific turret at a time.
