Finally reinstalled and Upated SCP a few days ago and decided to give blue planet a try....I just wanted to say this has to be the single most Badass Piece of awesomeness ive ever had the pleasure of playing...Kudos to all the modders for that campaign and all the scp coders....I was literally speechless at the new ships and weapons (especially in part 2....Gatling guns..WHEEEE *BRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!* !!!) Ive always wanted some closure to the single player campaign as well, and this mod did a wonderful job....Im just curious if part 3 has been released yet...I MUST PLAY IT..... *shivers in a corner in the fetal position*

Edit: and also, is there a soundtrack available for download anywhere?

Hey man, good to hear you liked BP - I'm sure some of the FREDers will come by and drop their thanks at some stage. :) But to answer your questions, 3 hasn't been released yet, but the team's working on the next installment, and I *think* the music is available on the team website here.

If you're keen, though, you can take a look through the credits for the mod and you should be able to find the tracks used.

EDIT: Wait no, doesn't look like the tracks are available from the website, so looks like the credits are your best bet. If you have any programs that can play .ogg files, you can take a dig through the BP .vp files in your mod folder and extract the music files and just play them like that.

When you're all finished the main BP: WiH campaign, don't forget to switch over to the other little 'campaign' included with the pack - "The Blade Itself". ;)

^Also that. ;)

Hehe will do. I at one point in time had an old (VERY OLD) .vp viewer program that allowed you to play and extract music from .vp files, but it no longer works. is there another program available?  I think i have a program that can play the music files.

I think a fresh FSO install automatically adds VP viewers etc in the folder named tools.
Currently playing: real life.

"Paying bills, working, this game called real life is so much fun!" - Said nobody ever.

Only if you use the installer.
People are stupid, therefore anything popular is at best suspicious.

The above link appears broken. Check the link in my signature to get Vpview32. It's the best program I could find for extracting mod contents(.vp folders).

You also might want to get this.
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Audacity is a program which can both read and edit audio files, including .wav and .ogg formats. Blue Planet's music is in .ogg. You can use Vpview32 to extract files from the Audio1 .vp in the freespace2/blueplanet or freespace2/blueplanet2 directory. Once you have them extracted in another folder you can use Audacity to open them, play them, and export them to whatever format you like for later use.

Not ever since it keeps telling me some file is missing from my installer which I did not mess with in any way other than to install the stupid files. :nervous:

Beyond that you will need to be more specific about what the issue is.
