Ah, a microscope that is able to image by using evanescent waves. Very small stuff included then - but it's good they have finally got it to work. This work is actually quite remarkable on the Optical Design point of view. I expect a wealth of applications to open up in near future - this probably means I too need to study that stuff in a couple of years.

Also, congratulations for BBC for getting it quite close to factually correct and still understandable.
