OT: Brazil, Terry Gilliam's Movie
Has anyone seen this film, I think it's one of the best I've ever seen.

Father Christmas: "What do you want for Christmas?"
Small Girl: "Ooh, my own credit card."
etc.
It's great.

I can watch it, by ripping to movie. When that women turns into a clap i'll sarcastically go "Wow, amazing, well better than LOTR". Its a cash in movie and i dont think it'll be any good.

Best. Movie. Ever. Nothing like a movie based on 1984.

Brasil. Man, I have weird memories of that movie. I was a kid when I first watched it and had no idea what the hell was going on! However, this was the first movie that got me to really enjoy Robert De Niro. After that I started watching all his movies. And now when I've seen Brasil again, I do have to say, its rather brilliant.
I have returned... Again...

I liked it...although it's definately strongly based on 1984...in fact, it is 1984, right down to the main characters dismal job, and has attempts to rebel with a ...er..woman. (can;t quite remeber 1984..it's been about 3 years since I did my RPR on it)

Well... not really. Read it again, then watch the movie. For one thing, Brazil is still a lot nicer a place to be, even with all the unpleasantness.

What's everyone's favourite bit of the film then?

Mine is near the end when Lowry is rescued by Tuttle and his associates, mainly because I like to see Micheal Palin being shot in the head! :snipe:
