Met Police win 'Masters of the Obvious' award...
From a BBC article I saw today:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-12755700

Quote
...officers discovered one of the victims dead inside a burning car. The other was found dead on the ground nearby.

Homes were evacuated over fears the blaze, which spread to a caravan and trailer, could ignite gas canisters.

Police were called and three fire crews after a woman reported hearing gunfire.

Officers said both men appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds and the deaths were being treated as suspicious.

Somehow, I read this line:

Well it is possible that a burning car could have cooked off the ammo. :p

It's obviously a carefully executed suicide pact.

I remember a news report a few years ago that went something like this: 'Police officials did not say if the man hit by the car was injured.'

Well, the Met Police won an award last year from the Plain English society for 'Pointless Headline of the Year' when they handed out leaflets titled "Police continue to target offenders", so they do have a bit of a reputation in this respect ;)

There was a incident up in NH last month where the guy's trailer caught on fire. Unfortunately it was full of ammo that began to cook off so the fire dept had to take cover behind their trucks.

They couldn't use any of their water and had to let the mother****er burn...  burn mother ****er... burn.

Actually, there are ways to break the impact of being hit by a car enough so that the worst you might get is some contusions (bruising).
It's not recommended that one try it, but it's possible to do so. Involves jumping.

Some people are like Slinkies.  They aren't really good or even useful for anything but they always manage to put a little smile on your face when you give them enough of a push down the stairs.

The car in question ran through a bar, into a sitting patron. So....
