Problems with FaceTrackNoIR
So, I've been recently trying to install FaceTrackNoIR. I have a cheap Manta Plako webcam, with no drivers (it was advertized as not needing them).
It seemed to have installed fine (both FTNIR 130 and 150 patch), but on startup, I've got this error (translated from Polish): "Application was not started correctly (0xc000001d). Press OK to terminate the application.".
Does anybody know how to fix this?

Re: Problems with FaceTrackNoIR
That's not a very good solution, since I want to try FaceTrack before I start to look for parts to make a device for FreeTrack (I'm not going to buy TrackIR).

no its the best solution. non-functional software is non-functional.

Re: Problems with FaceTrackNoIR
Hm... I wonder if a hacked kinect would work with some wizardry. Supposedly microsoft will be releasing a (windows-only) kinect SDK soon too that will allow people to use the xbox's skeletal tracking algorithms. If that has fine enough grain for head tracking, I don't know. But I personally would rather not buy yet another $150 peripheral.  :doubt:

It is working for other people, so it's not non-functional.
It's the only head tracker I know that doesn't need infrared LEDs to work.

Re: Problems with FaceTrackNoIR
What processor are you running it on? Apparently it has some problem with i5 and i7 at the moment, planned to be fixed in 1.6

AMD Athlon "family 6 model 10".
Camera was working in control panel/scanners and cameras (although quality leaves something to be desired).
