I'm sure there are a dozen SC2 threads here, but i didn't want to bump some old thread that was irrelevant.

So i thought i'd use this one to see if anyone's up for a game on the N.A. servers?

I'm a 3350 point protoss 'master', and diamond in 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, but always up for a fun game

you would probibly slaughter me, since i lack the hyperness to keep up with these energy drinking kids on the internet these days. im in gold in 3v3, bronze in 1v1 and silver in 4v4 and 2v2. these days i mostly just play custom games (usually starbattle). i usually play as zerg or protoss, in league games.

everyone should probably post their sc2 usernames so we can populate our in game contact lists. i go by EmperorNihil on the battlenet.

Though usually its my younger brother who's up on B.Net. He was interested in multi, I was just interested in the campaign. So the 3v3 rankings are all him.

I haven't really gotten into Starcraft II. A friend of mine played it and told me about it.

Just a mod I've been working on in my spare time sometimes in between other stuff and updating Mafia.  I'm one of the best modders in the entire SC2 community, but ALL of the members on the SCU team are as good as me.  The trailer is really worth a watch, even if not for anything else but the music.

how are the modding capabilities of sc2? i mostly play custom games and from what ive seen there are very few instances of custom graphics being used. im somewhat curious how difficult it is to make custom units from scratch.

Creating the model is a pain because there are no blizzard art tools, so you have to use a plugin someone made for 3ds max.  Creating the data work is also pretty annoying and arcane because of how it is set up and how holistic it is.  Once you have a working model, though, the data editor stuff is fairly easy in comparison.
