Ok, here's another model: the SDF Orc



It is supposed to be a terran shivan hybrid... what do you think of it???
Yeah, I know you were waiting for a very nice sig, in which I was quoting some very famous scientist or philosopher... guess what?!? I wont indulge you...

Quite a few. I've noticed that the .dxf is not a good way of improving the polycount.

I know, when I fixed the symmetry, that the poly count was 500-600.
I hate the .dxf format. flipped faces and stuff. :shaking:

Yep, the polys are about that scale... its the usual... for modern machines :)

You're not the only one to hate .DXF, but that's the only one I can work with right now... :( Goddamn Blender... :mad2:

Not hugely keen on the boxes on the sides but they might look better when they are textured. What are they for anyway?

Apart from that it looks pretty good. It definately looks half-shivan. :)

Not sure about your modeller, but I know TS1 likes to make double sided faces when exporting to DXF so you might want to double check it. Max and GMax can import DXF files while fixing the double faces, but GMax won't export without getting a gamepack.

The box in the side is a missile pod, the one in the bottom is an "air vent" (I know... no air in space, but it looks cool... :D)

Don't even mension the Njord!!! It will look great with the textures that I'm planning to give it (when I know how to do it :rolleyes: )
