crash on mission load
Hi. I'd like to say that I appreciate the developers of this mod for taking their time to put it together, enjoyed my playthrough of BP1.

I'm playing BP2 and have had no problems through mission 15. Now when trying to load mission 16 (bp2-15) my screen goes black when the mission tries to load. Here's my fs_2 open log and the error text that are gerneated attached. I'm running fsopen 3_6_14

Whoa, uh, I'm surprised you made it that far...if this error is what I think it is, it should've manifested a little earlier in the campaign. Can you make sure your Blue Planet 1 and 2 asset VPs are up to date by redownloading them?

Where did you get the campaign from, and exactly what version of 3.6.14 are you running? RC4, RC5?

Also please redownload the bp2 core VP to be sure it's not a mission problem.

I used the freespaceopeninstaller to get it I believe. I redownloaded the vps for bp and bp2. Sorry, it took a few days to register so I forgot to mention that I played a lot of the campaign with 3.6.13. I got this error with 3.6.14 RC2. I just upgraded to 3.6.14 RC 5 and now it gives me a warning on startup as well as replicating the error, so this bizarre file version history may explain how I made it this far without hiccups.

The installer is unfortunately broken, so the files you got are probably out of date - make sure you redownload the Blue Planet VPs.

Yeah I didn't make my reply very clear, I followed your advice and redownloaded every .vp file and the core files to make sure they are up-to-date which they are and I still encounter the same problem, sorry.

If it brightens your day you can tell people you are helping a real dinosaur paleontologist (i study how dinosaurs moved).

That is very, very cool.

At the same time, what you're describing is bizarre, because the error logs you're posting describe a mission that is physically different from the one currently available for download. Are you sure you're redownloading the files from here?

Can you check /data/missions under your blueplanet2 folder and make sure there's nothing there?

Wow that looks like that is it. There was a bp2-15 sitting in data/missions as well as some files labeled backup. I have no idea where they came from. I got rid of all of it and now the mission loads fine. Thanks for the help.
