Cannot get post-processing to work
It was fine with 3612 then once I dl'ed 3612 3614 RC5 it simply disappeared. I've tried with and without the optional shaders in the download thread, but it makes no difference. For reference, I am using the lighting test mod from the Blue Planet boards. I've tried using the other settings to see if it is there, but it isn't. Doesn't work when placed and run solely from the mediavps folder either.

Help, I want ma bloom back!  :sigh:

EDIT: Woopsy
EDIT2: Debug log, in case it somehow helps.

Re: Cannot get post-processing to work
y u use rar...

Anyway:

Code: [Select]
  -spec_exp 16
  -ogl_spec 80
  -spec_static 2.45
  -spec_point 1.5
  -spec_tube 2.5
  -ambient_factor 50
  -env
  -mipmap
  -missile_lighting
  -glow
  -nomotiondebris
  -spec
  -normal
  -3dshockwave
  -soft_particles
  -bloom_intensity 100
  -cache_bitmaps
  -img2dds
  -no_vsync
  -ballistic_gauge
  -dualscanlines
  -orbradar
  -rearm_timer
  -targetinfo
  -3dwarp
  -ship_choice_3d
  -weapon_choice_3d
  -snd_preload
  -mod blueplanet2,blueplanet,mediavps_3612
  -ingame_join
  -fps
  -window

You know what's missing there? -post_process.

Re: Cannot get post-processing to work
Weird, it was ticked in the launcher, but I went ahead and put -post_process in the command line box and it worked. The light from beam weapons doesn't seem to quite bloom the way it did before.

I use rar so you don't think you're dl'ing a virus or something. Old habits.

Thanks!

That's why .log (which is just a plain text file) is preferable for that very reason. If I download a rar, I do not know what I am getting (Because it could be a prepared archive that exploits a vulnerability in 7zip or something), whereas when it's a log, I can just open it in notepad.

Fair enough, it was just a piece of advice someone gave me, I'm not going to pretend I know what I'm talking about. :P
