To all us hosers at home and abroad, whether you have the day off and can celebrate with family, friends, or among strangers, or live here in Ontario and have to work today because the stat holiday gets bumped to Monday so the stores have to stay open today (don't get my wife started on that one... 'cause she's among the unlucky few who get to work... yay  , but I digress), I extend the following sentiment to you all:

I'm a part timer, so not so much. Not that huge a deal for me, it's not like I would have done much with the day anyways. My family is an hour and a half away, and I don't want to spend the gas money for the roughly 3 hour round trip for likely the same amount of time spent with them.

On a better note, there's a fair sized festival going on at a nearby park, along with fireworks tonight. Might go later on tonight.
