Please always bear in mind that, whatever happens, we will never go back to a DX renderer. Maintaining more than two render paths (fixed function/programmable) is a bad idea for a team whose programmer retention rate is, let's face it, not all that great.

That said, you _really_ need to join the irc channel. It's where most of the magic happens.

Not to mention, obviously, that DX means only windows users get to have fun (or not) with it.
