Up in the 4 block of announcements/highlights, would it be possible to make note that Tachyon the Fringe is on sale on Steam for $5
if I make a thread to said status?

I know we usually do it for FS2 when GOG has a sale....   was hoping to get a few more people to pick it up and play, garner
some interest in the mod, etc.

Um, no.  You usually post something in either Announcements or Highlights, not both.  Furthermore, Highlights are "from the work of our forum members", which this most definitely isn't.

That's, ah... not the point. We've seen ads for FS1 and FS2 specials pasted up in the Highlights (several times), and we thought that this was the norm.

I just looked through the Highlights forum and I saw exactly one instance where this happened.  It's not a widespread trend.

I think that an ad for a sale on copies of FreeSpace showing up in the highlights for a FreeSpace forum is an acceptable exception to make.  Tachyon, while being in the same genre and from the same era, is not FreeSpace, and therefore can't reasonably claim to be privy to the same exception.
