Hi guys!

Since there are many talented artists here I thought this is the best place to ask for some help (maybe I should have asked in the art forum, but I need it for a mod so I asked here).
Unfortunately my own drawing skills are limited to XKCD style, but I will need a player portrait for my mod.
Since it is for my Wing Commander Saga Kilrathi mod I will need a Kilrathi of course.

For those of you who may not know:
The Kilrathi are a cat-like alien race in the Wing Commander universe. If you google Wing Commander and Kilrathi you should get some ideas how they look like. Big cats basically. Thrakhath, Melek, Hobbes, and the Emperor are the best examples IMO.

I am aiming for the Wing Commander 3 style Kilrathi, but since I am not capable of creating something that even remotely resembles a Kilrathi myself my standards are not that high.

The Kilrathi can either wear a WC3 style Kilrathi helmet on his face (like seen in the Kilrathi comm animations or here:   http://www.wcnews.com/newestshots/full/SMALLWC3SetPhotoMythicBox1Scan0261.jpg ) or not, I leave that to you.
He should have a neutral face expression (which means not too aggressive, no bared fangs or something) and he should look young (so no grey streaked fur or something similar).
The fur color doesn't matter much, do what you think looks cool, but the fur should not be too short, more like that of a persian cat.

Normally I hate to bump stuff, but I'll try it this time because I haven't got an answer yet, neither here nor somewhere else.

Does anyone know a good place to find artists who could do that? Any artists' forums or such things?

I only have this knocking about, May i suggest the Wing Commander SAga forum for assistance or direction relating to the specialised subject matter required. In a non-patronising, fully supportive way (cos i LOVE wing commander, you can tell by my name right) they'd be the ones to ask.

I'd prefer rendered, but I'd also like drawn. Even black & white ink/pencil drawings like in the WC1 manual would be ok.
A helmet (like the one behind the link above) with a dark visor would be the minimum if someone can do that. I mainly want to get rid of the Terran pilot player portrait.

I already asked in the WCS forums, the WC-CIC forums, and WingCenter a while back, but I could also bump the requests there I guess.

I cant get you renders but I might offer some drawings (not mine, I know someone with skill who's a gamer and knows FS2 and WC somewhat). How many drawings would you want?

Well, actually I need only one, it is the portrait for my campaign's player character.
But I won't complain if I get a second generic-looking one. (so one with helmet and a dark visor like the talking heads of unknown confed pilots)

@Dekker: I could photoshop a picture of my cat or something, but it would look pretty bad, so that is not an option. It would look like this:

That's one of Bandit LOAF's (CIC staff member, maybe you know him) cats. He posted a picture of her in my catsniffing thread a while ago and danr from the CIC forums did that picture here I think. And while I admit that it is indeed funny I am aiming for a slightly higher quality...
