Hey, what's the best way to change the color of a shine map without ruining it? Whenever I try changing its hue it doesn't reflect anymore for some reason.

EDIT: I can sort of work around this by recoloring the UV map and decreasing its opacity, but I'd still like to know how.

Whelp, look here for 'How to make proper shinemaps', it explains the problem rather nicely. Also, what do you mean by not reflecting anymore? Do you use DXT5/DXT3?

I don't remember what kind of compression I used. What I mean by not reflecting is that the shine map doesn't work anymore.

EDIT: I changed the compression and that fixed it. Thanks!
