Looking for Sad/dramatic/epic music.
I was wondering if anyone can help me find a piece of music. Its for my uni course, we've got to pick a game series we love and do a presentation on it along with a 4 - 5 min video. I have chosen the Mass Effect series as it is my favourite game series, yes i know the 3rd one's ending was a lacking but thats not the point, i'm going for the journey. So i have been playing all 3 capturing pretty much all the cutscenes from the 3 games and theres a lot. And i was planning to put them into a music vid, now i was wanting to go for a Sad/dramatic/epic piece of music because i will be including characters deaths, and i was thinking of using Vide Cor Meum which is ok but its not sad enough if you know what i mean. I had tried using Mass Effect 3's own music "an End once and for all" and "im proud of you all" The piano parts of that is really good, but is kind of ruined by going into a version of the normandy's them and its to short i need something about 4 - 5 mins.

Can anybody recommend a powerfull Sad/dramatic/epic piece of music? would be much appreicated :)

if there is any consistancy with the Shivans, it's their lack of consistancy - -Norbert-

Just use 'Heart of Courage'

Re: Looking for Sad/dramatic/epic music.
You'd have to loop it a few times to make Heart of Courage fit into 5-7 minutes, even something as awesome as that might get a bit repetitive.

You could try something like Archangel or Protectors of the Earth by the same guys. It's EWQL sounds anyway, since 2 Steps From Hell are the two owners of East/West VST ;)

They'd all, however, need repeating a couple of times :)

I do like heart if courge, but it does get a bit boring, undying love of the invincible album is good, just need to find something to go with it and can be mixed with it.

If I had to guess, I'd say that Battuta was making a joke, seeing as 'Heart of Courage' - while awesome - is probably not sad enough for your needs and is terribly over-used.

Consider 'Farewell' by Apocalyptica.

This probably isn't quite what you're looking for, but just in case:

The Carrionites Swarm

The basic tone is one of an epic battle being gradually lost.

It made a fantastic backdrop to the last defense (and fall) of the Galatea in my re-imagining of the Battle of Deneb.
