So with this and Feedly also doing the same, maybe the future of feeds doesn't look as grim as I thought.

To be fair that's one of those things where 99 times out of 100 people would be able to correctly identify something yet still not give a proper definition for it. Not a huge deal since 99 times out of 100 it doesn't matter.

You could argue that in all the cases where people mistakenly think the iPad is a computer... it does matter a whole lot for the industry at large. :p

Of course... for the people who make that mistake it doesn't matter, so you have a point. :p

What battuta said. Peripherals and speed don't define a computer. Pretty much everything from MP3 players to gaming PCs to web servers are all on equivalent grounds, more or less. In fact you'd need to get pretty specialized to find computers that can't compute everything your typical desktop could.

the fact that ipads and smart phones are not called computers is just a matter of marketing. to sell them to kids who often dont know that they are in fact buying computers. which of course leads back to my original point.
