Hang on a second. It's one thing to be afraid for ones' own continued existence, or for those around you, or to be apprehensive about the future.
But.
If you're really feeling dread when confronted with the prospect that life itself does not go on forever, then I just have to mock you, because as things to be afraid of go, that is pretty damn silly in my estimation, even for the purely philosophical level of being afraid that I assume we're talking about here.
For me, it's the equivalent of not liking the wetness of water, the brightness of light, or the oxidizing nature of Oxygen. It's a fundamental property of the world we live in, one we cannot change and only comprehend, and as such, I think it's better not to worry about it and carry on regardless.
And if we're being honest, noone, not Lorric and not you, is actually worried about these things, because these things are waaaaay too abstract for us to get an emotional handle on. I mean, if you're obsessed about one way all life on earth could end instantaneously, there's a whole menagerie of imaginary threats available to fill your days and nights with nothing but dread, most of them actually much more credible and immediately threatening than what is being discussed here.
