I went onto my favorite Astronomy website called: http://www.solarham.net/

New Sunspot 1748 is proving to be a big time flare producer. A major solar flare reaching X3.2 just peaked at 01:10 UTC. This is the third such explosion within the past 24 hours. The first measured X1.7 and the second X2.8. Two of the three solar flares is good enough to make it into the Top 10 List of strongest flares during Cycle 24. The active region is still not in the best position for Earth directed explosions, however that will change with each passing hour.

So yeah, I wanted to share this with y'all.  So, discuss.

A small voice in my head tells me they are have followed us here in the Milky Way. They follow us until we are dead at their feet. We are nomands of the stars, no longer the race that was loved by the Great Elders. My name is Kyral and this is my story of survival.

There is no sanctuary for us, in this Universe. We will fight the Terror for one last time on this Shining World. May the Transcendent judge us kindly in the Life Stream.

This doesn't seem like particularly remarkable solar weather given where we are in the current activity cycle.

Aye.

Given this year is predicted to be the Sun's most active year yet, it'll be interesting to watch it. I've heard rumors after this cycle is done the sun will become unusually quiet for several decades.

  • The sky is the limit.
I wonder how far north you'll have to be to see an aurora this year. I'd really like to see one, but I'm not a fan of cold weather. :)

In my world of sleepers, everything will be erased.
I'll be your religion, your only endless ideal.
Slowly we crawl in the dark.
Swallowed by the seductive night.
