Following the destruction of Capella, the GTVA entered a state of military enhancements. All production went into ship construction, weapon research, territory expansion and securing new systems in a project called the Redemption act.
During the construction of the Earth Jumpgate, several influentual leaders began rallying support of their own project. Called the Immunity project, the leader hoped to destroy all outward jump nodes to prevent another Shivan invasion and to disassemble the Star Fleet to enter a new era of peace and cooperation in GTVA space. GTVA Command was sincerely opposed to this project, which eventually caused a split in the harmony of GTVA space.
The separatists, as they became known, began making plans for their project and started secretly building their own warships in preparation for a conflict with the GTVA. Knowing that they were severely outgunned and outmanned, the separatists waited for the right moment to strike.
The Earth Jumpgate is finally opened and the GTD Liberation ventures into the Sol System. The Liberation is greeted by the starship Numitor of the Coalition of Solar States, and negociations for re-integration take place. During this period, hundreds of ships are given access to the Jumpgate to reunite old family members and re-establish principle trade. Little does the GTVA know that the separatists are having their own meeting with the CSS.
The Coalition of Solar States decline re-integration with the GTVA and in a surprising turnaround, they publicly voice their support for the separatists. The Coalition of Solar States is reformed into the Coalition of Separtists States and they choose to make the first move.
The CSS evacuate all aligned civilians from Wolf 359 and Luyten 726-8A into Laramis and launch two Anti-Subspace Node bombs to the outer Altair node and to the Laramis-Luyten 726-8A Node. Directly after launch, the CSS organise their fleet in the Beta Aquilae system, holding off the GTVA from accessing the Earth Jumpgate in Delta Serpentis. Overwhelmed, the GTVA loses the Laramis, Ross 128, Delta Serpentis and Beta Aquilae system to the Separatists. In defiance of the CSS, the Aldebaren government launches a bomb to calapse the Aldebaran-Alpha Centauri node.
All three bombs are successful and the Dubhe, Alphard, Barnard's Star, Wolf 359, Luyten 726-8A systems are cut off from CSS-GTVA space. While the separatists from Altair and Aldebaren successfully cut off contact with the remainder of the network. The CSS now prepares to sever the Delta Serpentis-Ross 128 node, the Sirius-Regulus node and the Ribos-Ikeya node. The CSS orders the GTVA to dismantle their warships to enter a new era.
