FSOInstaller Issue?

After trying to update my game to the most current version, a few items are having issues downloading (I think).  Is this due to server load or missing files on the server (or am I just over-thinking things)?

It doesn't work for me either.

First post, whats with the double capcha?

edit: works when windows firewall disabled.
holy carp double capcha for edits too?

From the timeout errors I'd guess that the issue is that our mirrors have been hammered with requests due to the Steam launch.  If you give it another go is should be working better now *crosses fingers*.

As for the double captcha, sorry about that, we've had a lot of problems with spambots in the past. It'll go away once you've made a couple of posts (sorry, I don't know the exact number).

That was kinda what I was thinking. I'll give it another try tomorrow or so when the crowd dies down.

Most stuff downloaded overnight but now i get failed downloads no matter what. No retry button? I restarter the installer evertime. Is it ok?

Yeah, you have to restart the installer to retry for now.

Looks like (aside from the Derelict voice pack) that those are all fsport-related; that server is probably down due to demand.

All the FSPort downloads were on the freespacemods.net website which is currently down.
Normal people believe that if it isn't broke, don't fix it. Engineers believe that if it isn't broke, it doesn't have enough features yet.
The difference between Mechanical Engineers and Civil Engineers is:

No, it's an open-access mirror.  The problem is the amount of traffic directed to it after the Steam release has effectively killed it temporarily.

Besides retrying the installer every day or so, I'm not sure there's an easy way to determine if the download is back up.

With the release of the next RC and updated FSOInstaller, it seems this problem has been fixed as far as I can tell.  The mods/vps that were causeing me problems are now downloading like they should.  Thanks alls.
