As some may know by now that the demo for Star Fox EH is out now and it doesn't seem to work for Mac. I found a way without having to use Bootcamp.
(you will need Wine for this) If you don't its free to download.
First, download the game. you should get a file called Install Star Fox Event Horizon.msi. there is another file in there but you don't need it.
Second, open the msi file with Wine and it should install it. (keep in mind that you will not be using wine to play the game), all you need are the files that were installed.
Third, go to drive c where your wine files are go into program files (x86) there should be a Star Fox folder in there. copy that to your applications and not Freespace.
Last part, go in to where your freespace open files are and copy FS2_Open 3.7.0 and FS2_Open 3.7.2 RC3, then paste them in the Star Fox folder.
Now when you open the wxlauncher, go to the basic settings tab. hit brows and instead of selecting freespace 2 as your game root folder.
(select star fox event horizon) from there you should be good to go.
I hope this helps other Mac users out there that what I think looks like the best star fox game since 64.
One last thing the game does crash often, this is normal because it's a demo and there is no avoiding it. If you have any problems with this method or have a better way let me know, all the same though I'm just out to help.
