I suppose from my perspective, the sad bit is that these people weren't just famous for what they did in the past, films like the Spy who Loved Me and Moonraker were actually in the Cinema as new releases (admittedly, I was only about 8 and couldn't go watch Moonraker at the cinema, but it was still a part of the culture I grew up in).
For anyone under 40, this is really a case of 'Old movie star got older and died', and strictly speaking, it's more or less accurate, but for those who grew up with these people occupying their screens and cinemas, it really can be slightly depressing, especially lately where these deaths seem to be coming at an increasing rate.
