I haven't played it in awhile really, but it doesn't take a uber-powerful machine to run it. When I played it, there was some really bad memory leak(after 10 mins or so your frame rate drops to 4fps)  Not sure if they have fixed that yet though.

But I'm not gonna buy this game, I'm going for Galaxies

They fixed the leak.. I was playing for an hour last night, ran nice and smooth the whole time.. I'm running it on a p3 600, 256 mb of old pc66 ram and a 32 mb Radeon 7200... At 800x600 I'd say I'm getting at least 60 fps...

P2 550Mhz, TNT2, 1024x???, 64mb RAM and I had Winamp and IE running in the background. Jittered a bit in warp (due to it having to load like 200 asteroids in the space of about half a second), but other than that it ran fine for like 3 hours.

Models really aren't that bad... Thorn there just doesn't have forced anti-aliasing on, nor does he have even a half-way decent angle...
