Deep-Sea Microbe Better Explains Evolution Of Complex Cells
http://www.ibtimes.com/loki-deep-sea-microbe-helps-better-explain-evolution-complex-cells-study-1912148

eukaryotes may have evolved directly from archaea rather than having a bacteria phase of evolution (not including mitochondria of course, because **** you if you want early life evolution to be straight forward) and they may have found the missing link that proves it.

I remember the days when posting a topic about evolution was a guaranteed flame war, nowadays it's the tea party of the left that seems to cause all the noise.

Pendulum Theory?

This didn't come as that much of a surprise to me to be honest. Much of the work on evolution comes from a time before archaea were reclassified. And archaea have always been at least a good a candidate as bacteria.

It's just a pity we didn't keep the extremophile thing that many archaea have though.. I wouldn't mind being able to swim in boiling water, eat sulphur or have natural antifreeze in my cells.

You also get to use your hands to complain because evolution said "screw this protected vitals noise, let's stand upright so we can use tools ALL THE TIME."
I'd rather be a specialized macroorganism than an indestructable puddle.

Clearly transhumanism is the way to go.
robots fear nothing
The Great War ended 30 years ago.
Our elders tell stories of a glorious civilization; of people with myths of humanity everlasting, who hurled themselves into the void of space with no fear.
