You've got to record the reaction to "Into the Lion's Den".
"Closing the Box" - a campaign in the making :nervous:

DAWWWWWW!

Tell us how she reacts when she has to DIVE! DIVE! DIVE! ;)
You've got to record the reaction to "Into the Lion's Den".
Will do!  :D

Ahaha. That is so awesome. My daughter's only 4.. so I'm not sure she can play just yet. Soon... Soon...
It won't be long. Indeed, I set my daughter up playing a simple one-on-one dogfight mission when she was five. She enjoyed it for a while, but it was still a bit beyond her then, so she eventually lost interest. Now, though, she's old enough to really get into it. I've already upgraded her difficulty setting from Very Easy to Easy, and I suspect that by the time she's done the FS Port she'll be ready for Medium.

My 9 year old daughter saw me playing and asked about it, but I thought it would be too hard.  Time to think again!!
Start on Very Easy, and ramp up from there. It's totally playable for a 9 year old. She'll love it.

Awesome pictures, Sesq. :)  That is a great look of intensity and determination.

So how's that FREDding training coming along, per these quotes?

I expect the child to be FREDding her first campaign by the time she's five! :D

She's five now, and yes, she does play FreeSpace sometimes. Fredding training will begin soon. :D
Fredding training still hasn't begun, I'm afraid. But she's proceeding nicely through FS Port's campaign. My personal favourite moment so far was when she watched the cutscene where the Terran marines board the Shivan freighter. Her eyes were bugging out and she insisted that we go back and watch it twice more because she wanted to catch all the action. :)

Sesq better finish Scroll so she can play it. (and us, too)
How's that opening movie coming for Scroll? ;)

Nice. I see she's using a Wingman Force3D, just like the one I had. :)
Close. This is just the Wingman Extreme3D (same thing minus the force feedback), but they look the same. It's a great joystick, and still works perfectly after all these years. It was amusing to see my daughter's reaction when I told her how much older both it and the game itself were than she was.

All I can say is wow. I can't imagine I feel as old as you do, what with me not having a child and all, but I do feel old. I remember it being me at that same age, in that seat, with that face, dad standing over my shoulder grinning while I gunned down countless dozens of Vasudans. Give 'em hell.
Sounds like good memories and a good dad.

That look, so fierce!
I know, eh? You should see her practicing karate. My goal as a dad is to make sure that by the time she is a teen, her admirers will not only adore her but fear her. I think she's well on track. ;)
Sesqu... Sesqui... what?
