Problems with Union in TS5.0!! HELP!
In making the Gagana bomber (see prev. thread), I've had to use the Object Union tool in TS5.0 to combine the barrel and hull sub-objects.  Both work fine in the 3d Viewing programs, but the faces where they intersect appear transparent in the game.

Both models (barrel and hull) have been mapped using Lithunwrap, so Im' thinking there may be some sort of UV problem in the areas of intersection.

Regardless - I need to fix this fairly urgently.  I'm a little wary of welding the vertices, and I'd rather avoid using seperate sub-objects unless necessary, so I'm hoping someone has a good way / different method to fix this.

Yeah, but it's not listed as a boolean function...(although it apparently is, now that I check it)

Besides which, what else can i do to fix it?

If I can't fix the model, the Gagana is pretty much dead in the water, because I'd otherwise have to add the barrels in Blender, and remap the whole thing from scratch.... plus a load of other crap that would take ages.

I had trouble with object union too.  It takes away all the edges that "aren't relavant" and turns them into 4+ sided polygons.  You could try triangulating right before you convert.

for that problem jkust deselect the remove edges box, and if posable rase the precesion as high as you can, but be ware boulians are the #1 cause of TS crashes.

Both models were originally triangulated, but triangulated the new joined models gives me a poly count of 1000, so I obv. can't do that.

However, I think I've managed to get a vague idea what to do, so hopefully I can get 'er up and running
