I've got none. Too bad they don't come to here, Finland. :p

Otherwise I'd have a lots of free CD's, which can be used for many things. It might be nice to try to heat them up with gas fire at school or something like that. :D

And they come in newspapers. And magazines. And people throw them at you on the streets. The damn things are everywhere... If they were bricks, I'd have built a house already. Then again, if they were bricks I'd probably be dead or with severe head trauma by now.

Its not the size that matters, its what it says that counts

CP, what's the mathematical explanation for this?

This one's not exactly mathematical, but I think when you throw the frisbee it's tilted just enough for it to be easier for air friction/wind to push on one side more than the other, imbalancing it.
Normally, the frisbee would stay in the air and slightly autocorrect as it tried to follow the path of least resistance...it would stay alof because it would have to displace air, and it doesn't have enough mass to do it all at once because it's spread out over a large area.

Now to insert some technobabble:drevil:

Here's some technobabble:

Frisbees™ have a slightly thicker bulge around the circumference (not unlike yours truly); this gives them increased angular momentum (like a gyroscope) which helps to keep them level.

Also, since they are vaguely airfoil shaped, Bernoulli's law gives them some lift as the airflow above has a lower pressure.

AOL™ lack the outer bulge (so they lack stability) and are flat (so the airflow across the surfaces becomes turbulent almost immediately).

BTW™ I am making this up.  I have no idea if it's true or not

yes they do.. but you would need to tape up the hole in the middle or else the water leaks onto the surface you're trying to protect

a simple google search for "AOL CDs" yields interesting results
