Plasma Pulse Based Weaponry for Capital Ships
I've made a mod that makes all of the Terran Turrets, well all of the plamsa pulse turret weaponry, fire twice as frequently and travel twice as fast. The result is very similar to the FS2-intro-cutscene. It makes it look a whole lot better.

Of course this makes the Bessmer Kohn cannons twice as deadly, but so they should be.

Do you think this is a good idea, or should I stick with :v:?

Whats a bessmehr Kohn cannon?  and making them double everything id good, I mean a 2K destroyer should have an energy equivalent to a british Goalkeeper, or a Vulcan Phalanx cannon  (make and model). instead of a slow giant blobby sneeze of a AF / AC turret.

Well, in Rise of GCA plasma turrets have been improved...
But how can i set them to travel the same speed they did in FS1?

Actually, in FS1 the stats for the turrets are identical to FS2. It's just in the FS2-intro-cutscene that we get to see what they're really supposed to look like, and that's what I based it on.

Are you sure?
In FS Port they are fast, but with FS2 TBL the plasma shots are slow as hell...
I set them with speed = 400, i would like a suggestion...

You'll see something similar in BWO and MT.

uh, why would I want to try that? I can see from here that it won't work. We don't have your custom made laser glows etc... :wtf:

i was refering to the weapon params..make abstraction of what u don't have and replace with what u have..pay attention to $SWARM

Sandwich made some turrets the other month like that. They hella cool and made most "normalized" bomber and fighter attacks obsolite. for christe sakes the turrets fire almost 4 times the original distance, and witha  higher refire reate.

yeah laser turrets now aren't at all dangerous. Unless you are playing on insane, in Ulysses, with no shields, standing still.
