Well, I just got my computer back in the mail and set it up; it feels great to hear those ultra-loud fans again. :D The tech support guys said that the processor had somehow completely gone dead (it wasn't because of overheating either; who knows why), so that was replaced. The beeps I was hearing before apparently indicated that the BIOS could not detect any processor. Nothing else was damaged, so I did not lose anything on the hard drive. (that would have been disastrous beyond words; I'm going to make a full backup asap)

Anyway, I happen to have an old Voodoo2 lying around and would like to add it into this machine to be able to play some older games. (a Geforce3 is currently in there but the V2 uses that pass-through cable system, so it should probably work fine with that) My main question is this: what drivers should I be using with it? I am running WinME on here, so will the usual Win98 drivers work fine or will I need something else?

for a voodoo 2 i recommend either the voodoo 2 driver or the monster 2 driver from diamond multimedia.  I am tandem with two monsters....for some games the voodoo works better, for others (even though they say to use the voodoo driver) monster works better.

the monster driver i use is the 2207, and the voodoo driver is v2-w9x-3.02.   but i am on 98, not ME.  either way, i hope it helps

yeah, the Monster 3D II is the card I have, so I would probably just use that driver. The only thing is that I don't know whether or not it works with ME, and as far as I know there are no official drivers for any of the 3dfx cards that go beyond Win98.

I had problems running a V2 SLI setup with my GeForce 2.  I think it might have been a power shortage that caused them so make sure you have enough juice in your power supply. (At least 300W, 400W would be better)
