:sigh: sadness......

Eh, I'll give it 5.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

yeah yeah, i'm sorry :(

I won't do it again i promise :D
I'd have examined the code in the textbox, but i didn't have time to find the 'edit' link in it... i had to go to work.

i guess i'm the first one to break a thread :D  And at the same time i succeeded in doing the coolest thing in the history of HLP :p just kidding

Sorry Shrike, it seemed a good idea at the time, and i was testing what WOULD have been my signiture in my post.

Thanks for fixing it... :)

thats unfixable, unless you execute a few sql queries to change the post, otherwise its fux0red.

1)  Yeah i know the whole rest of the page source code is trapped in the text area... genius

2)  it's not unfixable you dork, you can simply EDIT the post and change it  .... i would have done that, but i didn't have time to go through the thing and find it (i would've copied it into microsoft word (the contents of the textbox) and then searched for "edit") (i had to go to work) so i let an admin know. At the same time, let this be a lesson to all to never do what i did ;7 :D

 One of these days you should try posting a positive post for once.
Oh, wait, you already have- only you tried to pass it off as me editing the post to praise my own idea. :doubt:

Meh. I killed one thread too. Someone posted a big smiley with some HTML tags, and I don't know how to use HTML, and I copied that but made it much bigger than that big was.

The thread didn't work after that.

LOL - as a matter of fact, I didn't even read the rest of this thread, just went to the screwed thread to see what happened. But as luck would have it, I ended up fixing it using the exact same url as you supplied - I just figured it out myself. :p

Haven't you seen that siggy that says "I demand unfettered access to HTML in my siggy"? HTML is not allowed in siggys, so there. :p
