It's 'cracked' because the bump setting is too high. Tone those down a bit and see how she looks then.

I don't think this mesh can stand up to these kinds of close-ups...

I pulled this mesh from Star Trek Australia.com. Can't say I care for the hull texture, though.



Rendered in MAX 5 with Brazil.
The only change in lighting was that I added a bit of Brazil GI.
