Bump Mapped Aeolus and Hatshepsut
Did this as practice for the upcoming bump mapping project.  What you think?

and

this is a png file.  If you can't see it, post it here and I'll convert it.

edit: Nevermind. I'm converting it anyways.  Too big.

The bump one the lower half is a bit strong....it's got a granite look.

Looks good otherwise :)

yeah, I noticed that after I posted it... gonna play with the settings for that texture.

edit: Also, there's a bad normal or something on the back top-left thruster of the Aeolus.  The texture is completely see through, almost like they left out the poly.  Any idea how to fix this?

2nd edit:  Using Lightwave.

i suppose as project leader i should give some guidance.
I'm guessing than you are using the original textures and not making new ones. I think new bump maps need to be made for the aleous looking at the poor quality that the textures in the bump panel give. If this is a problem for you to do then i will make them and email them to you.

Also the Hatshepsut is done in truespace, have a look at the pics, you have the bumps the wrong way round on the "scale" texture. The scales must be out and the lines in.

I'll post more info at some point in our staff message board on what needs doing. Glad to see there is progress being made though. If you are not sure what i mean by what i have said then email me
