GTA Admiral Massimo Patolkin yesterday confirmed the existance of a dedicated taskforce under the joint command of Special Operations Command (SOC) and Galactic Terran Intelligence (GTI). Although details are sketchy, it is strongly rumoured that the taskforce will utilise the first of a new wave of 'Third generation' GTVA capital ships.
The new generation ships were reportedly put into development after the first encounter of the Shivan Sathanas class 4 years ago. Military analysts suggest that the first protottypes are less than 2 years away from operation, due to new 'fast-build' technology developed during the construction of the Colossus.
It is expected that the taskforces main priority will be to infiltrate and 'take down' pirate gangs operating in the Rim systems, such as Ikeya and Belteguese, and to investigate the mysterious attacks on supply convoys throughout the GTVA.
The Vasudan ambassador T'khoa-Ak declined to comment on Vasudan involvement, but it is believed that Vasudan designers are refining new weapons technology for GTVA ships. No Vasudan 3rd-generation ships have been confirmed.<END FEED>

The Rosmerta and Segomo are sister types... there are only 2 of each type, all 4 serving together in the SOC until final manufacturing for the class begins. The Segomo is 1500polys roughly, the Rosmerta 2044.
