No matter how big or powerful Microsoft gets, the more it pushes, the harder it will fall. Palladium will get ripped to pieces and instead of simply hacking the MS website, disgruntled hackers (yes, hackers) will move from petty vandalism to completely irradiating the entire MS server network.

Oh, and I think this is good news for Lindows. They'll be able to make that 100% compatible, so we'll all have the nice choice of a cool hybrid OS; or Linux with perfect Windows emulation.

Hey...an operating system without some of the fancy crap that does all that I want it to do (play games, write e-mails, surf the web, in general be a power user)...then I'll switch at the drop of a hat.

Really...Linux is a great enthusiasts OS but I still think it has SERIOUS issues on its usability and overall acceptance.  Its getting there...if they can push it over the top and turn it into a real competitor....they will give MS a serious run for their money.  A serious run!

Lindows is crap. Any distribution that encourage general use of the root account is retarded.

edit: Also, Palladium isn't just about Microsoft, it's being backed by Intel and AMD (among others) as well which means chipset and CPU support is guaranteed.
