I'm not sure if this is related to FS_open or not but about 1 minute into the mission Endgame i get kicked back to windows.  This happens in FS_open 3.4 AND normal Freespace2.  It was fine before.  Anyone know what happened to that mission?  A bug?  I am running WindowsXP.

This is a fresh install, then patched with auto-update.  The only mod i ever installed was the Freespace1 conversion to FS2.

make sure the FS1->FS2 mod isn't installed and don't overclock the GF4, you're not gonna need it for FS2 and it could heat up and crash to desktop, its happened before.

hmm i took out everything that i believe was part of the FS1 conversion.  i took a look at my error.log and the last error is:

hmm the only stuff i have in my Data folder is models with warp.pof inside and players and freddocs
still crashes tho, right after a wingman says "bandits incoming"

-i dont REALLY think overclocking a measly 10mhz is an issue with a game like FS2 (considering more graphics-heavy games like Serious Sam 2 and Doom3 (E3 alpha) dont crash) but what the heck i gave it a try and  it still crashes

i guess you should save your pilot file (data/players) and reinstall
