a good system can go anywhere from 60 to 400....

or more for one of those surround sound deals with the subwoofer, but i'm guessing he doesn't have one of these, since he's expressed no discontent at cutting the wires other than the fact that it spoils his warranty :)

I have a surround sound w/ sub that only cost me like $50.  And even if I had permanently mounted my speakers I could still switch the left and right chanels from where they plug in to the computer.  I've gotten curious as to what kind of system Stunaep is working on...

beh, those were rather expensive speakers, and I'm saving all my cash for a DVD player (not for computer, for TV, sure I could plug the PC to a TV with a TV-Out, but the TV  is in another room, and I, unfortunately, still live with my parents).

Anyway, I got the extensions, and swithced them. problem solved.
