Considering the open access to FS2 now, but the lacking of the cutscenes (and possibly a few other files) might it be out of the question for someone to host these missing files as option downloads for these poor people who must do with after downloading FS2 from the underdogs... ?

It would be possible. Hell, you could host the whole thing, probably, and she'd be glad of the freed-up space. Problem is, you gotta find someone who can take a few hundred downloads of that file a day, and you won't.

No, not really.

And storing HOTU resource on Fileplanet would attract unneeded attention, anyway. HOTU stays very close to the line in copyright law, but abandonware is still technically illegal in most cases.
