how can i make a launcher with the Fs 2 source code or what i need to make a launcher ?

There's already one in the works. If you had joined up to help test versions of FS2_open you could be playing with it now :)

The launcer in my opinion is pretty desent, its simple but at first a lil difficult to use, but once u get use to the logical common sense of the launcher, its good.

Ive notice some things, yes i know this should be in bugzilla, but i dunno how to use that dang thing...

1. The Open GL feature to select it, although u have to "apply" it first, it wont run unless u apply it. It also, if say u selected DX5, then use it, then say select OPENGL, then select it, and use it, then go to DX8, do the same, it still is in OPENGL mode, u would have to apply the DX5 setting first to get the Primary Display to be DX in general. But the features between the old DX5 and DX8 are very noticable.

Also, since the launcher is good with 3.4 and up, its fine. although 3.5 got its bugs, i say when the 3.5.1 or whatever u guys r gonna call it, is going to be good.

2. I think 3.5 makes ships, Shivan in particular, i dunno, but the ships, (The Gorgon & Scorpion Mk2's), start having Descent like physics, they start moving backwards from turning around, and endup doing a gundam about face and ATTACKS ME flying backwards!!!! duno if anyone has notice this.

3. OpenGL doesnt run in HIRES for 3.4 or 3.5, its still 680x480 standard, but it runs smooth. The DX8 runs in HIRES and is notciably faster then previous editions including Dx8 with the original FS2.exe.

4. ANI clipping: The main hall for example, moves a lil, it distorts, this didnt occur with the initial 3.5 release, but when i used the Launcher to launch into FS2 open, i noticed it in 3.5. also the text is somewhat distored, me thinks this is DX8 (i just, cause of freelancer) upgraded to dx9 i think... i dont remember.

just thinking if anyone has noticed this.

Yeah...some crazy AI thing that happens after the sliding was allowed to happen.  I've had a Mara go sliding to port and starboard instead of actually going forward and chasing the ship.  Its because most Shivan vessels have a slide accel and slide speed and most Terran/Vasudan ones don't.

I ACTUALLY LIKE THIS EFFECT! Makes the ships harder to kill, for instance, a newer advantage the Shivans have now, cause if u ever think bout it, most ships in the game if u throw all fighters of all 3 races into a skirmish with there most powerful weapons, almost 79% of the time (7 out of 11 battles), the shivans are the first to DIE. Then Vasudans. :rolleyes:

Well i think the Human and Vasudan ships shouldnt use this feature, but i see that the cap ships seem more "agile" and mobile like the NCC Enterprise E in ST: Insurection, moving like a fighter. IE: GTCv Alexandria (aldo model).

BUt the fact that these GORGONS and other fighetrs (not all of them do it, the mara does, manticores vaigly), this allows some serious banking menuvers! i was shocked to know that the gorgons (with already extnesive shielding), can now move like a ulysees, if not better!

Time to tweak my GTF Nas (aldo model)....
