Ghost ships (FRED - Red Alert)
I've created a red alert mission which works fine until the ships with "red alert carry status" get killed in the previous mission.
I supposed that in this case the ship would not show up in the red alert mission at all.
Instead, the killed ships arrive with 0 ( or sometimes random) hull strength and just stand there in blue sparkling. :eek2:

I solved this with SEXPs:

- When . previous event true . has departed X ship (in arrival cue)

OR

- When. previous event false. has departed X ship. ship vanish (with wingmen from Alpha wing)

I'm just curious if it is normal, or I've done something wrong.

And yes, red alert SEXP is placed in the previous mission and "red alert carry status" is set for the ships in question.

As I know, all ships that presented in the 'previous mission' will act in the 'next mission', if it is named on the same name.

Unextract the last two missions(Clash of the Titans II and Apocalypse, and see those events, and ship properties.

I am using this 'Red Alert Carry Status' in my campaign in a case of an orion, but I haven't tested if the missions are in a campaign(I am at mission 23 and there would be 35, and until the remaining 12 are not done, I don't make the campaign file.)

:wtf:  That is weird!  They should not show up at all.  I couldn't explain it without seeing the mission files, but since you've solved it, there is no need.

Still, that is very :wtf:

Hi TopAce ! :)

OFF TOPIC:
Hát ennek örülök. Az idõk kezdete óta egyedül vagyok itt Hungarian. Valamint Laibon és stepanshuk, akik közremûködnek a TCP kampányban, de a fórumon nincsenek jelen.

RED ALERT:
Red Alert Carry Status has nothing to do with single missions.
Only those ships should appear in Red Alert which have their "RACS" ticked in the previous mission.
As I said everything works fine until the imported ships are destroyed.
As Hippo stated, the last two V missions are also buggy in this respect.

CAMPAIGN BUILDING:
You could avoid a lot of trouble testing your missions in Campaign mode right from the beginning. I'm saying that from my own experience. ;)

It must be a bug then.
The weird thing is that a killed transport sometimes reappeared with 0 hits left and sometimes with 100%.
If the ships make it in the previous mission, then they preserve the correct Hits Left and Loadout value.
The mentioned tricks will solve this.
