Webhost needs 411 on something regarding credit...
Alright here is my situation.

I have two clients that im doing websites for, both want the ability soon to be able to charge people to view there content. I dont know the first thing about setting up a system that allows people to register, pay a fee, and then allow them access to password protected areas. Is anyone familure with a system like this?

If so where and how would I go about it? I am also trying to contact my .com provider, which I think can get me the info, but they are always on some "Verizon put a customer on hold for an hour" mood.

also if this can be done, im assuming i would need a buisness account to set things up? being as how there 2 people and they dont exactly work for me, the money for example i think would go directly to them, by whatever means they use, how would i regulate this?

difficult

each company needs bussiness accout of cource
i dunno how those guys wana handle it (credit card , check, send cash blablabla) so u better ask/tell em
then you should use a ssl capable server for obvios reasons

the rest is just need password to view (so if its porn page you need a a good dB :D on a fast server)

well "premium content" lets put it that way has to be managed and its access has to be clear also your subscription status

lets say u pay 20 dollars
wich gives you the right to use this n that 2 months
but when will the month be over the customer wants to know the details online and he doesnt want that everybody could rread out his information (ssl)
then you need the password protected area to be sessionwise not "keep me logged in" and and and and

and on a side not you dont open that account the company does
otherwise a you have access to all the money hmm ok thas not so bad :doubt: but you can also be held responsible if those guys **** up
