Something odd is happening - the .gif files for my buttons are giving very wild file sizes:
i.e. on a windows attribute - Size: 739bytes, Size on disk: 8KB.

:wtf:

You're joking, right?

No?

Seriously?

Oye vey.

Okay, ummmm... are we going to have to explain the concept of clusters and sectors here?

If necessary I'll bump the files over to my boot drive thats on NTFS. I wanted to keep my documents/stuff drive FAT32 just in-case somehow win2k takes a dump and I can't get it back.

You could have been using the old FAT32 System, there is an update for it in the Service Pack for your OS

Microsoft
Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows 98, and Windows 95 OSR2 also support the FAT32 file system.

which is what the links says...thats why depending on your HDD will show the cluster size as 4/8/16 Kb etc...

?
no size thinguy, you cut your disk in two equal partitions, clusters are divided per 2, it's that simple.
Of course, I have so much space I don't care much for cluster size, I do partitions coz it's convenient and safer.
