Yesterday I popped in, while in Lancaster, using one of those newfangled internet-phonebox-wossnames, and I saw that the newest member was one "scrattymatty".

This intrigued me, as I had a mate at school known as that, but I don't remember ever giving him the adress for HLP.
Further investigation proved that it is one of my mates, as his location was given as "Ippi's basement", Ippi being another asscociate from school.

However, I now cannot find this person on the member list, which confuses me.
can anyone shed any light?

Dunno. Maybe he was deleted, for someodd reason. I remember seeing that name too. Can you delete your own SN?

Things like members lists usally tend to take some days to update (like once a week or so, though I can't say for this board). So wait a few days and you should see him there.

vB is entirely dynamic. So everything updates instantly....err...bar a few odd exceptions.

Not so, and it's all too easy to prove Take right now, for instance. Newest member at this moment is lochabar, yet he does not show up on the members page. In fact, noone post 31/7 shows up there, the most recently joined member displayed on the members page being T-man.

I don't know. Seems all to convenient, don't you think? I mean, this so-called "friend" of yours, turning up in just the right place, at just the right time, from another "friend's" "basement".
