Freespace 2 Unistall Problems
I'm trying to get this god-forsaken game off my computer and it WONT GO! :)

Ok, not really, but I am trying to clear off some things off this HDD, and move my games to a new HDD.

Problem is, I get the following error when trying to unistall FS2, both through Windows Add/Remove proggies, and the actual unistaller via the FS launcher itself:

"Unable to copy the installation log file to temporary locations 'C:\Windows\_detmp.1'. Please ensure that enough space is available for this file."

Now, I have 2 gigs free on that drive, so unless the above-mentioned file is HUGE, something is not right...

A little help?

Well, other than making sure that the directory in question is not write protected (not sure of your OS) and looking to see if the file may already be there (and the uninstaller won't overwrite it) I have no idea what to tell you.  And I did this for a living over the summer.  If you are going to reinstall it on the same computer though, you may be able to get away with just deleting the directory manually and installing it on the other HD.
who needs a signature? ;)
It's not much of an excuse for a website, but my stuff can be found here

Manually delete the Volition folders in your registry. Uninstallation the way our fathers did it

If you're using NT, 2000, or XP then make sure you have the proper permissions.
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside
