You're having trouble saving models in TS or in PCS?

If you're having trouble with PCS that's probably cause you hadn't done it right. Unlike the cob to pof converter you must first load in a pof using the load option and then choose the pof to cob option.

Are you saving the object or the scene? Try the other one.

when I save the object I get a "error when saving " message.
When I loaded my assualt fighter (which had taken more than a couple of hours and I was dead proud of) all that had been saved was part of the nose cone !

That suggests that you're building your ship up of several smaller subobjects. If that is the case then TS will only save the sub-object that is currently selected.

What happens when you try to save the scene?

yeah, that's what I figured. I must have forgotten to join the nose to the main body before saving.
Save scene brings up the error message, but I doubt if I really need it.
On the subject, how do I post pictures of my master piece on  this 'ere site ?

I'd suggest reinstalling TS if I were you (or at least run several tests on saving objects) before you really get into modding if you're getting error messages.

As for posting pics get yourself some webspace from one of the many free providers (geocities, angelfire etc. I'm sure someone will post a better reccomendation than one of those two), upload the files and then link to it.

saving "objects" seems OK.
