I basically dumped a batch of renders in this thread.

They're not bad, but I can honsetly say that the most time I probably spent on all of them combined is a half hour. :p

You guys have really outdone yourselves... :) I was just browsing through the first five render threads here in the forum, and you guys just keep growing and growing. But there's just so much! I was wondering if you would all mind posting (if it applies to you) your latest (or most favourite recent) render here on this thread... at risk of my modem dying, but I think it's worth it. :D Much obliged, guys... constructive criticism promised, if you want it. ;)

Steak, if you want to see ALL of my works. just go here... it would have some pics that i usually don't post here due to off-topic ness..:p

Untrue. :) I think most of the people around here forget that rendering is just like all the other arts - it's principally a play of the heart. Technical beauty is quite something else, not achievable by everyone - especially given the exorbitant prices of industrial strength software, the limits of consumer technology (though the second is much less important). However, a great render in any language... well, let's see, I could write an article about this. ;)

As my critic says, everything boils down to 2 dimensional representation. No matter what you create, it will end up being just a set of colored pixels in a fine grid. Remember that, and don't be afraid to do some Photoshop post-processing. :D

Of course, the more you do in your rendering program, the easier it is to replicate and edit... but you know what I mean.

Spot on there too, GE. I really ought to write an article about this... I'll let WW's get a little older first. :D
